Archive Service - An Opportunity
Presently Śrīla Bhāratī Gosvāmī Mahārāja’s tape ministry has collated 3000+ audios and videos over the years, from various sources and these files are being systematically organised, labelled and archived.
This exercise will eventually translate into more hari-kathā being released in the future in the form of quotes, articles, lecture transcriptions and books as well as an organised and easy access to all the tapes for devotees in general.
The attempt is to encourage interested devotees to contribute to this initiative. This simple sevā entails hearing the audios (which will be specifically allotted on an individual basis), and noting down its main contents either in an online form or in an excel sheet. Even if each devotee spends 15-20 minutes per day doing this seva, much can be accomplished!
This sevā is open to both – English to English and Hindi to English translators. Read detailed lecture titling guidelines here. Sound editing is also being done to clean up older audios.
Archive Service - Devotee Experiences
Vishakha Dasi (India):
Feeling very blessed to hear Srila Maharaj's katha once again after 8 years with all ears and am grateful to all vaishnavas for this unique service opportunity, especially my Gurudeva. I am very happy to a part of the team and pray all my dear friends join this seva and feel the bliss of associating with Srila Maharaj and other vaishnavas. Team is very friendly, kind and quick in helping and guiding.
I began just 4 days back and find my mind engaged in thoughts of Mahaprabhu and His associates all through the day while working on the files or otherwise.
Lalita Kisori Dasi (India):
Hare Krsna, I too am feeling very blessed to be part of this seva. Being a working professional I was first apprehensive about if I will be able to spare time for this. But hearing Maharaj's transcendental voice gives me full energy. Earlier, I used to think I need to hear at least one katha a day, because as per Maharaj's words, the day we don't get hari katha is "dur-din" (inauspicious day) for us. But when I tried on my own accord, it never happened. Either I get involved in some other (most unnecessary) work or there is not much concentration when I hear the katha. But when I hear the katha as part of the service, then there is maximum concentration, and each time something new is revealed when I hear Maharaj speak.
Thank you to the VCV team for such a wonderful opportunity!
Candrika Devi Dasi (UK):
To be blessed with being given this service is so merciful, it is a very great way of hearing Hari Katha and being in the presence of Srila Maharaj for Sadhu-sanga.
The instructions are comprehensive and it is an absolute joy to be a part of.
More of us are needed, so if you can spare an hour or two a day, a week...please register above
With kind regards
